Shungite Navaratna Bracelet, 9 Astrological Gemstones for Health, Wealth, & Happiness, Moon Charm
This bracelet is based on the Vedic concept of Navaratna - meaning, 9 auspicious gemstones that, when worn together, can help manifest tremendously positive energies in one's life.
This particular navaratna bracelet features a lovely mixed metal sterling silver and bronze moon charm next to the pearl, and a sweet little granulated sterling star near the clasp.
What is Navaratna?
"Navaratna" is a compound Sanskrit word that translates to "nine gems."
According to Vedic astrology (also known as Jyotish), each of the 9 sacred gemstones corresponds to one of the planets at play in every individual's astrological chart.
Each gemstone increases the positive influences of that planet and decreases the negative ones.
Planetary energies influence everything from our relationships and family to mental outlook, intelligence, health, wealth, career, and a whole lot more.
The great thing is, by wearing all 9, EVERY planet's influence is optimized - regardless of your particular birthday and astrological chart!
Here are the gemstones used in this bracelet and the planet (or node) to which each corresponds. Please note that natural gemstone colors and patterns may vary.
- Blue sapphire - Saturn (Shani)
- Cat’s eye - Ketu (descending lunar node)
- Citrine - Jupiter (Guru)
- Emerald - Mercury (Budha)
- Ruby - Sun (Surya)
- Quartz crystal - Venus (Shukra)
- Pearl - Moon (Chandra)
- Carnelian - Mars (Mangala)
- Hessonite - Rahu (Ascending lunar node)
The gemstones are strung on strong but flexible jewelry cording for optimal durability. The bracelet closes with the clasp of your choice.

Which Clasp Do I Choose?
You get a choice between two high quality clasp styles. Each has its advantages, so it's really a matter of personal preference.
Mag-Lok Clasp: The Mag-Lok is a very strong, self-aligning rare earth magnet encased in sterling silver. The advantage of a Mag-Lok is that it's easy to open and close with one hand. The disadvantage is that, being a magnet, it will grab onto metallic objects when it gets close to them, which can be annoying to some people (but entertaining for others).
To open the Mag-Lok, it is best to SLIDE the two halves apart rather than pulling. A thumbnail can be handy to get it started. It closes itself!
Mag-Lok Cautions:
- Those with pacemakers should not wear the Mag-Lok clasp.
- Mag-Lok clasps should not be worn on the same wrist as certain types of watches because magnetism may cause them to gain or lose time. Analog quartz, spring drive, and mechanical watches may be adversely affected, but digital quartz are fine because they have no motor.
Lobster Claw Clasp: A lobster claw style clasp is the tried-and-true classic jewelry closure. The advantage is, it's a bit lighter and prettier. However, it can also be a bit more challenging to attach and detach using one hand, especially for those with arthritis or poor vision.
What is Jyotish, or Vedic Astrology?
Unlike Western astrology, Jyotish has been around for many thousands of years and is famous for its accuracy. Jyotish is rooted in the Vedas, the oldest texts written in Sanskrit that inform Hindu religion and philosophy. Jyotish is part of a lifelong study and spiritual commitment in India. Vedic astrology is focused on the planets, stars, and their relationship to the horizon at the moment of your birth.
